Car’s clearcoats are susceptible to swirls and scratches. Many times, swirls and scratches are made by cars going thru brush car washes, improper hand washing or just rubbing up against bushes, shrubs, etc. Many times, these swirls and scratches are minor and can be removed by hand or by an orbital polisher using a mild abrasive polish. Deeper swirls and scratches need to be removed with a high speed rotary buffer. A professionally trained technician, using a two or three step process, can remove these scratches, giving your paint a deep mirror like finish. This process can take up to four hours to do it properly. Improper use of a high speed buffer can cause the worst swirls of all. Some detailers are not properly trained in the use of this equipment. Often times, these swirls are hidden by detailers with waxes and silicone polishes but return quickly within a matter of weeks. If the car is done properly, we can guarantee that the swirls will not return after a couple of washes.
